AICS Group is looking for a strong Rehabilitation Support Worker to work with our Male client who lives in Hackney. This role provides immense job satisfaction within a busy and varied environment, working with a range of health and:d social care professionals.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Client: Our client is a young male in his early Thirties who lives in N16. He suffered a traumatic brain injury, which resulted in various cognitive and physical difficulties. Due to his brain injury, he has advanced Dyspraxia and Aphasia. He has a close family network around him who are keen for him to be supported to greater independence. He also has a dedicated therapy team who guides his support workers in their work. The client loves music, games, cooking, and making jokes.
We are looking for a Rehabilitation Support Worker who can work:
2-3 days in a week
24 hrs shift including sleep-in
Minimum of 1-year experience in health and social care, preferably with adults or children who have a brain injury. Have a basic understanding of cognitive and physical impairment. Demonstrate the ability to relate respectfully to people with physical disabilities. Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to liaise with other professionals daily.
Current and clean driver's license. Experience in providing care to people who live within the community. BSc or BA in Psychology. MCs in Neurorehabilitation / Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience / or related fields
