The AICS Group specialises in providing community-based rehabilitation and support to clients who have acquired a brain injury.

AICS Group are seeking a male Rehabilitation Support Worker to work with a male client in North West London. You will be working in a busy varied environment with a range of health and social care professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our male client has experienced a road traffic accident that has impacted his cognitive development, specifically affecting his awareness of social boundaries, which can be observed in community settings. We are currently seeking a Male Rehabilitation Support Worker who can work various shift patterns as follows:

The shift pattern is from:

Mondays: 24-hour day shift with sleep-in (08:00-23:00 - day shift, 23:00-08:00 - sleep-in)

Tuesdays: 24-hour day shift with sleep-in (08:00-23:00 - day shift, 23:00-08:00 - sleep-in)

Wednesdays: 24-hour day shift with sleep-in (08:00-23:00 - day shift, 23:00-08:00 - sleep-in)

Thursdays: 24-hour day shift with sleep-in (08:00-23:00 - day shift, 23:00-08:00 - sleep-in)

Fridays: 24-hour day shift with sleep-in (08:00-23:00 - day shift, 23:00-08:00 - sleep-in)

Saturdays: 08.00 am - 20:00 pm

Sundays: 20:00 pm - 08:00 am

The primary responsibilities of the Support Worker will be to assist and supervise the client with their daily routine at home. This includes accompanying the client to the gym, swimming sessions, and mosque, as well as facilitating their participation in social activities within the community.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in health and social care.
  • Basic understanding of developmental delay and cognitive impairment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Ability to work in a home environment.
  • Ability to liaise with healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to implement activities that promote independence.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to take on feedback.


Desirable Skills:

  • Current and clean driving license.
  • Experience in providing care to individuals in a community setting.
